I'm about to fill out the rebate form and I have an important question!

Got my DVX today. I'm very excited! :)

I went to fill out the form for my rebate but realized I'll be moving in the next week and a half. I don't yet have my new address. So I was thinking of having it shipped to my parent's address.

Does it matter what address I use? Does it have to match the address that the DVX shipped to?

If anyone could tell me, that'd be great. Thanks!
 
I was just at the Panasonic site today...

Sounds good. It says that the request is being processed and the check will be sent shortly. I assume the book+dvd and software will be sent now too? Or is there another step for those items?
 
Just make sure you regiter at the site that is shown on the paper that came with your DVX and you have to enter the model number from the outside of the box. From there it is pretty automatic. The rebate center will pack up the book and software the very next day. Also do not enter the R that is on the same line as the serial number. That is indicator for the RoHS cert and is not part of the serial number.

Shoot. I think I registered at the wrong site. :(

Should I register again at this new address? Does this mean I'm not going to get the book+dvd and software? :( :( :(

Thank you for putting the address out there for every gray market camera to register at. I really appreciate it. Why do you think it wasn't on our website? Would you kindly edit your response if you still can, to remove the website so that I don't have to talk to every person that bought a gray market camera and tell them why their claim is rejected.

I filled out the rebate form 12 days ago. I noticed that you said that rebate center will pack up the book and software the very next day. Should I be worried that the book and software have not arrived yet?
 
Did you register on the site that came with the camera? If so send me your name and claim number in a private message.

Yes, I registered on the site that came with the camera. I was careful to do everything as the instructions stated. I just sent you a PM with the info. Thanks for the help. I'm dying to see the book and DVD!

I registered 12 days ago just like you, snodart, and I got the DVD and book today. So hopefully you'll get yours in a couple of days. My only concern now is: where is the rebate check? :)
