yep, ... but you can buy them just now so they surley suck a lot of money from pockets of some promising clients

Dealing with gigabytes of data is something not many people will want to put up with. So I don't think it's the same type of client. dSLRs could be eating the share of some small camcorders.

But from what I hear, this type of consumer considers the camera large, the extra lenses expensive, the available zoom ratio too small and the DOF problematic. The tiny camcorders do some things better in the eyes of the consumer. After seeing the professional shot clips (rigging etc) the customers are probably being dissapointed by the lack of talent and resources on their part:)

I don't hear many good things from those who tried to shoot a wedding with them either. Although we have seen great results in that use. Camcorders are more practical and this affects working professionals.

Taking special uses out of the equation, video capable dSLRs could have no impact in other market segments. We will see in a couple of years.

You need perfectly synched zoom and focus and iris, adjustable convergence.
the sensor you put behind has absolutely no importance.

Panasonic has done exactly the reverse. They proposed a nice dual lense and put a lousy camera behind.

that's what you call a contradiction, my friend.

If the sensor has "absolutely no importantce" then why are you calling panasonic's camera "lousy"?

lol... seriously?!?!! Hope they get it out! looks sexy...

now wtf r u supposed to do about convergence, etc..?
