Here's an HVX with free tripod for $4100. Is there an advantage to getting the 16gb card for free from a certified seller for about $5200 instead of spending $4100 for a new camera on eBay and then $900 for a card. You'd save $200. Maybe that is the price of having to store a piece of sh*t tripod in your closet
any thoughts?
i have an hvx already, but thought I'd raise this.

Best case--you get a gray market camera without Barry Green's book, no extra software goodies, no 16 GB P2 card and NO WARRANTY. That's if you're lucky. It's never made any sense to buy a gray market HVX because you really aren't saving any money. If you ever need warranty service with a gray market camera, you'll be hating life. What if the camera is DOA? You might just be SOL.
