Ikan v8000HD 8" Monitor vs Ikan v8000HDMI 8" Monitor

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a used monitor below $400 and am trying to decide between the Ikan v8000HD 8" monitor and the Ikan v8000HDMI 8" monitor. They're about the same price on Craiglist, but the Ikan v8000HD 8" that I'm eying on Craigslist comes with a few extra batteries. And I believe the Ikan v8000HDMI 8" monitor is rigged to use Panasonic batteries (which I'm assuming I can use my HVX-200a batts for that).

Any thoughts?

Will be using with my HVX-200a as a director's reference monitor for myself. I'm horrible with technical things, I checked but couldn't find an HDMI input on the HVX-200a. Does the HVX-200a even have an HDMI input?

Thanks in advance!
Peter

The HVX does not have an HDMI input. It does not even have an HDMI output. You want to output Component from your HVX to an HD monitor (input).

Read the HVX-200 manual to get a good sense on how it operates.

as per the ikan website. the v8000HDMI also has component, s-vid and composite inputs. so i say go with the better deal. both will suit your needs.
