Ikan V7000-DK

Any of you guys use the Ikan V7000-DK with the HPX500? Will it even receive signals from the HPX500(I assumed it does). I'm planning to buy an external monitor soon but have no budget for the expensive ones such as panasonic or marshalls. Feedbacks from your experiences will help my buying decisions greatly. Your responses are greatly appreciated.

I don't know... The specs don't look all that impressive, like only 150:1 contrast ratio as compared to 500:1 for most pro stuff. And no SDI out, all plastic, and weighs only weighs 1.0 pound. Only 65 degree viewing angle.

But hey... it comes with a video game built in ;-)

Having not tested one, I shouldn't be too critical. But based on past concerns posted here about Ikan's flimsy construction and reliability issues, it may be a good transitional solution until you can justify an upgrade. But for the long-haul, I'm not sure I'd trust it in a rough-n-tumble production environment.
