Is there a way that you can set up the ikan monitor or I guess any monitor and have the display tools that come with the camera? Is there a button I should push in order to get the same color and zebra monitoring etc???
can you be more specific as to what you want to do? There are several different things to set up on a monitor. Most require color bars from the source you are monitoring. Usually this is your camera. To output color bars from your camera you will need to refer to your users guide for the camera. Once you have color bars form the camera then you can use the blue gun or blue screen function on the ikan monitor to set up the display qualities. Not all ikan monitors support this function. ikan monitors do not have zebra function built in. Our newer monitors such as our VX7e and VX9e have False Color and Clip Guide which are aids to determine camera exposure and can be used in place of zebra, which is usually built into the camera.
