Anyone try out the Ikan friction follow focus and think it's up to the task of moving a serious zoom like the Canon 70-200nn 2.8l IS II USM or the 24-70 2.8L?
I rarely use zoom while shooting, and in fact have only tried it once with my DSLRs in the 2 years I've been using them, but that one time it was horrible and jerky no matter how carefully I tried to do it.
I considered a follow-focus, but spending more than $200 seems unappealing. Enter the Ikan friction follow focus for $180, The only issue I have is if it is strong enough to do the job.
Thanks community!
