I have an Igus 1 meter rail and carriage with which I had intended to make a slider-dolly. I never got around to finishing it, but I did tap a threaded hole for a 3/8"-16 screw. This allows for you to screw a 75mm half-ball into the bottom.
In the center of the carriage I mounted a 3/8"-16 screw to which you can mount a tripod head such as a Manfrotto 503. I also mounted the three small support screws which help to lock the head in place.
I never mounted brakes or stoppers on the ends, but if you want to build a slider, these parts are half way there.
New, this ran me around $180. I'd let it go for $100 plus shipping.
Please PM me if you're interested.
Thanks,
Andrew
