Great piece of work. Its compact and light, works with my glidecam 2000 pro. 9 got a little heavier lol )

Loses maybe a stop of light, i would say around half a stop. And grain becomes visible after three stops but i wouldnt worry bout that, controlling it with the DVX's iris will solve that problem, so i can always have it on 1.4, 2.4, 2.8.

yeah this thing is alot of fun.

i think there might be a slight flaw in the GG though, or its dust, just looks like on the middle bottom left there are small lines instead of dots.

ill post a grab later.
and im getting quite used to running and gunning with this thing, and its not soo bad trying to focus with just the lcd screen, the harder part are things that are further than 15 feet. And im curious to know if the infinity focus is correctly setup ( not sure if that kind of thing needs to be setup. )

papa, go outside, open your NDfilters, and stop the 35mm lens down to F11. but keep the DVX at open orwhatever gets proper exosure..... you will find that there will be no grain. thetrick is to light the GG properly. if its bright outside, eve at F11 there should be enough light to get proper exposure. And you can use it like that. Actually i think F 5.6 - F8 makes 35mm lenses look the best. and the Shallow Dof is still there.

will do

im going to post a grab later timur, hoping you can tell me if i have a GG flaw. hope not though.

hard to see but curious to know if this is an example of dust, a scratch, or defective GG ?

look like little lines. two of them.

i havent opened it once though, what could have caused that? i only opened the packagey esterday.

frist take off form the cam
turn the thing upsidedown, (so that no more particles will go in)
detach the lens, and with a lens cloth just kinda wipe it easily (soft strokes)and that's it
sometimes dust particles will go in( ie exchanging lenses or attaching it) and since it's using the macros they look huge on screen but that's nothing to worry about
congrats and welcome to the iFocus caln
when focusing to infinity I found MF 7 to be the best, the zoom depends on wheter ur using black bars or not.
let me know if u get the magnet to work, I heard it has to be a strong one Ima go to lowe's and try to get one.

Hi Papa,

I just posted under the thread, I'm guessing it's dust, hair, or possibly a smudge from a finger print on the non frosted side. If it's a scratch, I'll take care of it. :) Yes isn't the weight on it great.
