If you're looking for a mattebox check this out!!!

Sure. You just need to concern yourself with the diameter of the lens you are using and then get the proper adapter. Ideally you would get several different adapters to fit all you lens.

i bought this mattebox and it does its job! i have two 4X5 filters that slide right in I love it.
the one flaw is that you get vig with the stock lens at its widest which is 28mm.

Be aware - I bought another one of the cinecity matteboxes and the flags rusted out in 4 months. I would spray paint them with black primer when you get them to be safe.

Ummm. 99 bucks? I think I'm going to have to buy one! Could have used it today on a GH1 shoot I did. I always thought matteboxes were insanely overpriced. Am I the only one who thinks so?

Unfortunately thats par for the course with all film gear... it looks like they have the same DIY slider as listed in the forums here for $200... the parts cost 160 together so I mean for $40 bucks more you get it pre drilled with side blocks too, so I was gonna order from igus, but im just gonna go with the one from these guys... they even have a four foot model!

yeah. they're a pretty good company. really good customer service. i like their products. tell them Rich sent ya they might give you a deal.

I bought a shoulder support a couple years ago from Cinecity based upon a glowing review by a well-known filmmaker/blogger. He later recanted his love for the support as did I! But the thing did ship quickly and it was not a bad piece of gear for the price.

I had no idea they were selling camera sliders now. Has anyone here used one? Is it really Igus material (Dri-Lin?). If so, that's a great deal. I'd love to hear some feedback on this.

I'm gonna order one so I guess I'll be your lab rat... I'll let you know shipping time and how the product works!

Cinecity is great. Even though they are in India, they still ship fast to the US, from what I hear.

I have one of these, but without the side flags: http://www.thecinecity.com/tcc/product.php?productid=53&cat=270&page=1

Actually, it's exactly like this one: http://www.imagewest.tv/servlet/the-297/MX-dsh-5000-Pro-Matte-Box/Detail

It's almost brand new, I was going to put it on eBay, but if anyone wants to buy it for $300, shipping included, I'd rather sell it to a fellow DVXuser.

Did you sell it yet?

john

Howdy folks-

Just wanted to point out that the original post was for the Wide Angle mattebox, this is not WA but normal. BTW, what is "cashback" and does it work well?

Thanks

Looks like they sell it for a few dollars less on their ebay store. Also you can add on cashback and get an even better deal.
