If your shooting video in the Oval Office

Those don't look like LitePannels.

Now the Press Briefing Room on the other hand...

... makes extensive use of them.

The Oval Office photo looks more like point-source (incandescent) with diffusers. They appear to have a distinct "hot spot" in the middle. That is probably why most of us don't think they are LED panels.

The panels in the press room.. are the dimmed or fully blasted? Must be pretty uncomfortable for the members of the medias to have all these sources blasted in their faces..

as long as it's even lighting everywhere, it's generally not too bad.

I read an article about that Litepannel installation in an industry magazine a while back; I don't remember if they are dimmable or not.

Litepannels are certainly dimmable... infact it's built into the head. The photos (press room) look like light panels with more diffusion in front. I would assume for low profile, heat, safety, and etc.... they are really welcome in the whitehouse.

The other lights in the oval office don't seem to be light panels. I think tungsten lighting looks better on darker skin tones versus light panels, kinos, or HMI's. That's just why I would use them.

I just don't get the use of 5mm Nichias versus high flux emitters. There's got to be a next gen LED 'bank light' in the works somewhere ;)

I worked with the litepanels gaffer kit and they had this little inline dimmer that you connected to the transformer to head cable. Nice little lights, maybe a bit too dim but useful in many situations.
