If the firmware needs to be restored

Hi guys,

I'm sorry if this has been discussed already.
If , for any reason, the original (1.32) firmware has to be restored after playing around with ptools, would it display as 1.32 or still 0.0 ?
The thing is I'm going to order GH1 and be able to return it back if something appears to be not as expected.

Thanks

If you are planning on returning GH1 I would stay away from custom firmware. Hacked firmware is like crack cocaine - once you use it, you need to increase the dosage (in this case version number) every time you use it so going back to the original is not an option.

ill informed information like that is how ill information gets spread.

if you use version compare it brings your firmware to 0.0 and after that's selected, you feel the firmware isn't for you, you simply load the default firmware from panasonic and it's back to 1.32.

..and my guess is it will display 1.32 after loading panasonic original firmware ...
Car3o, much appreciations!

Sorry, I'm confused. What's version compare? Is it in-camera feature? After I hacked GH1 the original 1.32 simply stopped being recognized whenever I put it on SD card. Can you elaborate, please. I'm more than happy to be wrong about this :)

are you still using the old 3.36 ptools. firmware versions are not an issue anymore now with version compare patch.

Don't understand the post? Old 3.36?

Isn't the current version 3.36 which has the version compare patch in it???? I also found a reference to v3.37d which is the latest and greatest until V4.0 comes out.
