If Luc Besson had Directed "Revenge of the Sith"

Don't be intimidated by these guys...if you liked Sith...you like it. Most sane people did.

Most sane people also are average, dull and boring. its the other people in life that make life worth a damn. Most of those people probably hated star wars.

The new ones suck hard; finding them 'Okay' or 'Entertaining' is cool but if you're running aorund thinking they are these EPIC GREAT FILMS then you have ZERO clue.

Sorry; but true.

Yeah thats true. For some reason i loved it the first time i saw it in theaters...probably because it was a midnight showing and i was surrouned by hundreds of other nerds. However...when it came out on dvd...I watched it again...and could barely stand it. Those scenes with Natalie portman and whatshisface christensen are just disgustingly bad. Yes...like horse said SOAP OPERA bad.

I do not have high hopes for the TV show..which george has said will be shot as cheaply as possible using consumer sony cams.

Actually, people on here think they are cool by not liking it, but they wouldn't know a good movie if it bit them on the ass....Hence, liking the Devils Rejects.

It's interesting that Anakin goes from being a little KID in Episode I to a full-grown MAN in Episode II--while his lover Padme hasn't aged at all!

My theory is that Anakin is actually still quite young in Episode II, yet his body has aged at an aggressive pace due to midichlorians...and Padme is like one of those molesting High School teachers. Ewwwww... This puts Vader's personal issues in a fresh perspective. :cheesy:

I loathe the new SW films and loved DR. So I gotta ask:

You talking to me? Watch it cowboy or you'll find yourself floating home.

This is my opinion.

The new one's suck. So while you're running around making light sabre movies in the backyard this original Star Wars baby is laughing at you.

The new SW films are a mere inkling of what their predessors are (Were after Lucas' constant tinkering).

No one here think's they're cool for not liking it Kemp; I asssure you I wanted to like them. In fact, I had never been so pumped on any single film e v e r when hearing Lucas was going back into production.

I also remember walking out of the theatre being so dissapointed at this childrens joke the films have become; pod races? What was that? Howard Cosell aliens? ESPN in space? You cannot be serious. Jabba making that surprised face when Han steps on his tail in the SW Redux; Jar Jar Binks? CHanging it so Han shoots second? I can go on and on at how bad they have become and are.

Here's the dealio.

No one was ever running around saying the old ones sucked (sans the Ewok basing); but now it appears to me a great deal of fans/former fans and general moviegoers are in agreement:

The new ones suck.

That's my .02. I suggest you let us naysayers have one without crying about it.

Episode I was bad. I saw it at the opening midnight screening and never watched it again.

Episode II was horrible. Saw it once, felt violated, never saw it again.

Ever the optimist, saw Episode III on opening day. It had its moments. There were glimpses of the old Star Wars magic. I will definitely watch it again.

This coming from a guy who watched the original Star Wars movies hundreds of times.

Yes, the new ones sucked and were full of embarassing moments (Lucas somehow managed to draw wooden performances out of Liam Neeson and Samuel L Jackson). But Episode III was decent.

But none of us have a friggin clue, right? It's like when everyone starts saying you're drunk..... You probably are.

What prompted Lucas to shoot the entire thing on a bluescreen stage is beyond me.

Whatever your take is on Rejects(I personally love it), it was made by a man who is passionate and loves filmmaking and Star Wars(the prequels) was made by a man who lost his passion for filmmaking many, many, moons ago.

"cool"????
Nobody's trying to be cool, it's called an opinion, and thats what we can share on this board.

PS - I actually enjoyed episode 3.
