I have a 3ccd professional digital video camera (minidv)
I have been reading quite a few threads on this board but still can not seem to answer the question.
If I buy a camera filter Should I be spending money to buy a good one
Many people seem to say like in the case of a UV filter to just buy a cheap one that at least has multi-coating.
Other people here seem to go for buying like a (B&W UV 010 haze multi-coated filter) for there digital video cameras.
As it seems I would keep this filter on at all times (but not to usually stack right?) it seems to make sense to have the best color and quality light passthrough. Although the quality of the filter itself resolution-wise is very much overkill as I understand it.
People seem to also say that the difference is not noticable on minidv of the difference
and finally for a polarizing filter from reading some threads it seems like to buy a real good quality one of these may make more sense .. (for example the UV filter doesn't really do a lot other then protection where as a polarizing filter can do more to certain effects)
anyways I am confused I think many topics are a lot more focused on hd-dv cameras
