IDX partnering with Panasonic to make batteries for AVC camcorders.

"How to outsource battery production while keeping steady income" or "Chinese to produce $25 knockoffs for Panasonic camcorders, not".

They mention 151 and 171, which are European models. Panasonic must seriosly rethink its model numbering scheme, because now I have to think whether 150 or 175 are supported or not.

The HMc40/41/45 is not mentioned despite that it has been announced before October 2. What's the deal? Barry said they should work: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=181857

I take it that "unsecured" SL-VBD50 will not work in the 150 and the 40. These cams are way too cheap, let's make money on batteries. Everybody does. At least Canon cameras do not reject knockoff batteries, they just don't show remaining time.
