Idiot's Guide to the Sony FS100

Awesome link! Does any one have an idea when a 4:4:4 HDMI capable recorder hits the market?

I'm an avowed Canon user, but the longer Canon waits, the more likely I go with the FS100... Thanks for posting!

I've been a die hard Canon user for years (starting with the XH-A1) but the FS100 is my favorite $5K & under camera since the 5D Mark II/24p Firmware upgrade. Don't waste any time, the FS-100 will pay itself off in the first week!

Canon video will make you wait 5 years. As long as it take for them to do something with video cameras, they need to throw out a bone or two of what is planned for the next two years.

Oh, I won't be waiting 5 years, you can count on that. Maybe another 6 months, but then I'll def need a new "A" cam.

Very odd that Canon seems so willing to lose all the mojo that the Mark II/7D/T2 et al built up over the past 3 years...

need some help please

need some help please

First footage recorded yesterday and I can't get the footage to transfer. It's not my camera and it needs to be back soon. I'm trying to connect via USB to Mac. Power plugged in, usb plugged in and connect to computer. Turn on camera and is says USB connected-well it's not mounting on my machine. I looked for software and didn't find anything.

Any advice would be great. Thanks
