Ideas for new fest!

In the spirit of current Hollywood drivel, how about...

REMAKE/SEQUEL FEST

You take a previous fest film that was not your own, and you either remake the original or make a sequel to it.

Now THAT, would be interesting.

That is a freakin good idea. That could be very interesting.

How about this... everyone uses the same script MINUS the last page.

That way we're not watching 40 films and knowing the outcome of each one. It would be neat to see how different directors tackle the same script, but at the same time the viewer would still be attentive because of the unknown ending.

What do you think?

Backwards Fest (first scene must be end of story, last scene must be beginning of story)

I love this, I've never entered a Fest before, I would definitely enter something like this.

This would be very outside the box for us, I'm pretty sure none of us on this board never shot anything backwards... I'll put money on it.

capitalP, if that's so, watch the movie "irreversible", it'll blow you mind.

note: this film is very hard to watch at points because of it's graphic nature. But it does exactly what themacb suggests for the fest (albeit in a feature length)

that being said ... GHOST PIRATE HOOKER FEST

Yeah I saw this movie, I thought it was Brilliantly done, loved it. And I meant members of this board, and looks like I owe Chris some money.

Let me know what you think of it.

No need to pay me. :)

Just viewed it, the acting could of been better, especially the part of the little girl, and I know it's tough to get a kid to act, but the story was pretty basic, but I did love the lighting at the dinner table. And the argument between the wife and husband was pretty believable.

But I think something like doing a film backwards, works better in a thriller/action rather then drama, just IMO ofcourse, thanks for sharing.

Cool site by the way.

I really love the Remake Fest idea. Especially since remakes are all we seem to get these days anyway. Only problem is, you might hurt someone's feelings if you remake a bad film into a great film. :)

How about a fest where everyone can do what they want but have something like the wine bottle thing to keep already done flicks at bay. This makes it so you don't know what you are going to see. It will be like opening a present for Christma-channa-kwanzikah.
