GH4 Idea? Using GH4 AV Socket to Strengthen HDMI Cable

Been looking to see if this type of cable would work? And if so, where would you get it made!? I incorrectly thought the port was micro usb, alas its some other odd port. (Apologises to the rather basic 3d model... only started to learn sketchup)

Use an empty non-connected AV Plug to give the HDMI socket more strength and have the centre of the cable coming out centre from both ports so putting the strain across both ports.



The Other option would be similar but with a full size female HDMI on the back (but then it would be quite wide)

Just a thought to anyone who knows how these things are made!

Looking for a strain relief for HDMI is a champion idea. But I'm afraid your solution is just putting two connectors in jeopardy rather than one. HDMI stinks in this regard.

There are mechanical clamps people use to strain relieve the cable.

The other possibilities are using right angle cables to help get the cable in a less vulnerable position.
