GH2 IceBlitz UniFlow Hack for GH2

Hi!

I've seen many places on the web that GH2 users want a combined hack with the best of EOSHDs Unified 1080/24p settings and the best og Lpowell's Flow Motion v2.02 720/60p settings.

Seeing as EOSHD's 720/60p sucks pretty hard it's pretty useless. But since the 1080/24p is so damn nice, and better than anyone else's hack below 88mbps I didn't want to switch it out.
In addition, seeing as the Lpowell's Flow Motion v2.02 is so damn good on 720/60p it's pretty sad that I can't switch over to it because the EOSHD hack is better on 1080/24p.

So I decided to make a new one, that meets the demands on both above.

I know that it's fairly accomplishable to make for some people, but many people don't even know how the hack works and what GOP and so on means for the performance.
So instead of just continuing to use whatever you have now, you can try this hack if you want to.

I have tested and made 30 hacks before this final result, and I've measured and used it for many hours in search for areas to improve, but now I'm very happy with it.
The difference between 1080/24p on my hack and EOSHD's Unified hack is NONE what so ever.

However, the video quality on 720/60p is insanely improved and now usable for professional compilations :)

If you have any questions, let me know!

Installation:

1. Download my hack, PTools 3.65d and original 1.1 firmware (keep my hack and PTools in the same folder and original firmware in another)
2. Start PTools 3.65d and load original firmware 1.1
3. Choose settings "E"
4. Save firmware onto a formatted memory card (must be formatted by the camera itself)
5. Insert it into the camera and press PLAY, then YES
6. Wait a minute
7. DONE

Hi!

Such as....?

I downloaded this patch from the supplied link and examined the INI file.

This is absolutely bogus and has nothing to do with any Flow Motion patch.

I don't know who you are, "IceBlitz", but if you have any self-respect, you will remove all references to myself and Flow Motion from this thread.

Agreed. Lpowell is a continually contributing member that adhears to the requests of his friends and fellow video-men.

It is quite unethical to come in claiming to snatch his software hacks/settings and call them your own.

If you have a request, run it by lpowell. If you want to make something your own... make it your own not by using or claiming to use someone elses adjustments.

No offense meant, no hard feelings... just enethical so please don't do it.

I don't know why everyone is jumping on this guy. He didn't try to take credit for anyone's work. He very clearly stated that his hack has the EOSHDs Unified 1080/24p settings, coupled with Lpowell's Flow Motion v2.02 at 720/60p settings.
Now maybe is is WRONG about that, but if so, someone can point that out. But no reason to jump him for coming here to share with others.

I don't know why...

And the reason you don't know why is because you took this fraud's claims at face value rather than investigating it for yourself. Had you done so, you would have seen that the contents of his patch have absolutely nothing in common with any version of Flow Motion.

lpowell. First off, I've been testing flow for last two weeks. Can't do anything but thank you.
"IDK" because I'm TOO STUPID to know if this guys ini file achieves what it aims. I'm sure at one glance and you master it.
But instead of schitting on Iceblitz, maybe we can address if what he wants was achieved (obviously not) and if not HOW can our subgenius create an ini that solves his problem.

@G L Shane - My intent is not "schitting" on Iceblitz, whoever this 1-post individual may be. I'm accusing him of misrepresenting his downloadable PTool patch file as something that was derived from Flow Motion v2.02. I want to make this clear in order to eliminate any confusion on your part or anyone else who might happen to be misled by his fraudulent claims.

Well if he comes in here and claims that his settings have the benefits of someone else's settings and they don't then it makes that other person's settings look bad. It is Akin to libel or perhaps a trademark infringement. Lpowell is not going to sue him or anything like that. However, Lpowell does have the right to stand up for all of the hard work that went into validating his settings.

The proper way to handle this is to not reference anyone else's settings. If you like portions of settings that someone else created but not other parts then feel free to make the modifications you see fit. However, don't post them claiming any relation to the original settings. Once you change anything about them they become YOUR settings for better or for worse.

In this case, however, IceBlitz's patch is not a modified version of Flow Motion and has no relation to it at all. His claims with respect to Flow Motion are blatantly fraudulent.

Below is a complete listing of the downloaded patch file linked by IceBlitz in the first post of this thread. It is a generic patch that contains none of the original settings I developed that distinguish Flow Motion v2 from other GH2 patches:
