IBC2006 poll

So I will be the only one who is going. If someone needs some particular info I can ask them whem I am there.

I will have a stiff word with the Apple people about when FCP will be able to handle 720 25/50p. There will also be a very small stand/booth from Panasonic and maybe they have something new to tell like release date 16 Gb P2 card, P2 store with more capacity e.g. 120 Gb or (whishfull thinking) announcement thet the HVX200 is on the redesign table)

Panasonic announced last year that they won't attend to this year IBC...

I'd like to hear your views on the RED CAMERA, especially if you can attend the
screening of the 4k images that are scheduled to be projected for the first time.
I believe there are others from this forum who are going, but it would be great
to have someone a little less intimately aligned with the organization and all the
conversation/speculation that has been swirling around the introduction of this
camera.

I will have a look at the RED camera. I am not biased at all not even for the HVX. I would be nice if they show footage of other cames as well just as a reference.

Hey if you happen to get a chance, see if Aaton has the Penelope camera. I heard that it will be shown as a proto with production scheduled for sometime in 2007.

Hi Cees, I also will visit IBC on Friday afternoon. Want to see Red and Vegas 7/Dvd-Architect 4. And ofcourse everything else that's possible in half a day time.

Who is going to the IBC 2006 ?
Which day?

Maybe members of this forum can get together at the IBC?

Hey Guys...stop by the Quantum booth at IBC #10.520. We'll be showing some P2 specific workflows between HDLog and the SDLT600 tape drive.

I'll be there with P2Log too. I think Quantum will have FCP and an HVX200 around as well.
