I was or am on 1.14 firmware???

Downloaded a new firmware from panasonic site and it seemed to go ok and it apparently was supposed to have some sort of text and flashing of the cam light. None of these happened and it's still just a black screen. :(
 
did anyone else have this happen? The supdate just froze, nothing happened, no blinking, no test on lcd nothing for 25 minutes. Nothing. Had to turn off. Nowmy camera is black with no9 response to anything. Just got this 3 days ago. FAIL

Did you copy the files onto the CF card on a Mac or a PC? The Mac can add some extra hidden files that the AF100 doesn't like. That happened on the first update I tried a while back, however, in my case, the AF100 wouldn't even attempt the update until I solved the issue.

I'm not sure what the procedure is for a full reset on the camera (other than the menu). Someone here should know -- if there is one.
 
It was on a Mac and I followed the procedure, not sure why it did nothing just went black. It did not give me any card fail or error of that kind. The lcd/evf went black and the cam light was just stayed on. No message no cam flashing of any kind... 23 or so minutes..still nothing. Didn't know what to do so I waited minutes more and I turned it off. Here I am with nothing coming on and I just bought it brand new from B&H. I had the file on a clean SanDisc 16gb Extreme ???. I hope this can be repaired/easily. Thank you for replying
