I want to buy this!

The Focus head is the first real fluid head I've purchased and it's very smooth with either a HVX or DVX. If you're used to a 503 or similar priced heads you will definitely feel a quality difference.

The vertical lock feels a little weak. I have to place my back heavy HVX a little too far forward on the head to balance it out for my comfort but you might have to that with other heads as well. It's a great tripod head.
 
I reversed the camera plate's hardware to balance it better. It wasn't particularly easy, and I was very concerned about losing track of the small parts, particularly the spring, but once I got it back together it balanced nicely with minimal adjustment to the head's balance dial. I think it's a fine piece of HVX kit.
 
Thanx guys. One more question, can I use this tripod and place a shoulder support on it eg. quick release?
