I want some RAW footage...will provide FTP

[KyleProhaska]

I'm looking for somebody or a few people who are willing to supply me with some RAW h264 files from their Canon 5D's. 1080p24...

I want to see what this things images REALLY look like. If somebody would be kind enough to email me I can provide a special FTP location. I'm looking for a variety of shots to look at if possible. Something well lit, some wide shots, something outside and inside, maybe a close up or two...just a mish mash of stuff.

This would really be helpful to me. Youtube, Vimeo, etc. can't really show me what I would be buying and what kind of REAL results I would get if I bought one. I want to see what this thing can really do and what it really looks like.

Anybody willing?

Thanks!

To be honest, you'd be much better off renting one to get a real feel for it yourself. I also did lots of research, checked raw footage etc, but there is no substitute for actually shooting yourself so you know what your were trying to get and can then compare this to the actual results.

The form factor and workflow required is completely different to regular video cameras and that in itself is probably more immediately important than the image quality. I found that whilst I love the 5D image quality in most circumstances, I would not risk using the 5D over my HVX on paid jobs unless shallow DOF or low light was a key factor. But I love using it on more personal projects where I have time to experiment.
