Has anyone heard of a release date for the Cineporter? The last update I have read was back in December of '05. Is it going to get released or should I go with the Firestore.

A bird in hand is better than 2 in the sky! I've asked CinePorter sales and have not received a notice yet.

Keep posted on our CinePorter website. We will be updating it with all new pictures, specifications, and even the website will have a new look. It's all very exciting! Everything should be up sometime near the end of next week.

Stay tuned!:)

I am currently using the FS-100 and 2 jobs it's paid itself off already, even with the constant headache of errors and dropouts...in my mind it's diposable and when the cineporter comes out I'm going to throw the firestore in the garbage

whether it pays for itself or not, i'm not dropping 2grand on a piece of hardware that I'll scrap when the cineporter comes out. for now i'll live with the P2 > dump to FW drive, and wait patiently for the cineporter...
