I think I might've gotten messed with by a Brooklyn dealer...

Man, I hope those guys make some more mistakes and expose themselves more openly. I just wish someone would mirror-host Don Wiss's website so more people can search for it easily, and no one can hack it and take all the sites offline for even 5 hours like they did to Don.

Speaking of Don Wiss, he was recently told to leave the country or he would be killed.

Amazing.

Anyone who knows about these scam artists and still wants to "take their chances for super low prices" with these people deserve to get screwed.

Rush, you ever threatened to kill a customer? I didn't think so!

Buy from legitimate sources. Support legitimate industry. These guys are crooks.

In the post I link to an mp3 of the voice mail threat and a collection of photos of the storefronts themselves. Most look likfe abandoned buildings.
That's because some of them just may be. There's a place called Broadway Cameras. They advertise in almost every DV/Video mag going (at least they used to), I believe it's a pretty well known "industry secret" many of these shysters are connected to them. I'm sure just saying the name Broadway Camera has chilled some in this forum to the bone. They treat you like crap, hang up on you and yell. Bought a bigger battery from B&H for my DVX, smooth sailing 100%. I have their site on my computer's bookmark bar. You made the right choice going with B&H.
