A lot of simple 2700K 85w common house bulbs in cheap china balls for the evening scenes (i had a 360 dolly move to achieve so couldn't use any light that couldn't be put in the ceiling and i simply wasn't given the budget for rigging) for the early morning shots i was using ND to control the windows and then reinforce them with ARRI 650s with CTB, no bounce was used in any of these shots. I rigged up a couple of cheap silk diffusers out of PVC piping and white shower curtains.

Set the camera to either 3200 or 5600 via the preset and left it.

If more people shot like you, the af100 would've been widely considered as a classic.

Haha! I might be shooting the ISA live if that hasn't already happened this year but I do lot more besides sport these days ;)

Excellent work... but then, you already know that.

While I'm somewhat tired of apologizing for my AF, recently went into a pilot shoot with my AF thinking we'd upgrade (C100/300 or the like) if the show gets picked up. Looking through rushes, I think we'll just buy 1-2 more AF/lens kits and pay ourselves more instead.

Haha! good call, its a great camera when used properly, i didn't shoot super soft (-7 detail etc) or super crushed or flat, i balanced a few settings, checked the images back with the director and just got on with it and the little AF100 just performs. Friend of mine is on a ARRI D1 shoot right now and the head ache they are going through with that setup for essentially the same DR as our AF100 seems overkill.

I am really looking forward to my MFT BMCC with the speedbooster but i cant see me letting the AF go in all honesty

Nice shots. I read two very good thigs in this post. Good lighting and making more money. The guy making the pictures is the guy making the camera shine.

Wonderful work, thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see well crafted images like these!

I'm placing an order for the BMCC 2.5K MFT with Metabones Speed Booster next week, mostly for my indie film (hobby?) projects/shots, where I need as much color, dynamic range and resolution as I can get (VFX and contrasty art shots). But I'm also holding onto my AF100, it's just too versatile to let go! In my work life, we're loving the 100 for a wide variety of tasks, and looking at getting another one. It's so feature packed (considering the price), we were hard pressed think of another camera we wanted in that price range.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work.

my thoughts too, I'm a budget camera owner, I'm willing to operate other cameras via rental but paying £10K plus for 8 bit cameras is foolish for me.

AF100 for corporate, broadcast and sports

BMCC MFT for narrative

Speedbooster doesn't leave either of them!
