Hey everyone, long time no here. I've mainly been working in still photography but am actively shooting films with my 5D Mark II.
This is a personal project I just finished with director/composer/editor partner Glenn Scott Lacey. This film is based on "I Soar", a poem by Liverpool Poet, Diane Ward. Both Glenn and I were struck not only by the text, but also by Diane's honest and gentle reading, which serves to enhance the power of her words. Thanks to actress Britt Harris and everyone else involved in helping us bring this project to life.
All shot on a 5D Mark II using a variety of lenses. I'm pretty much metering everything with a Sekonic meter these days because I don't trust everything with the in-camera reflective readings. Anyway, despite the ability of these cameras to use an incredibly shallow depth of field, I actually mostly chose the opposite for the shots to enchance their epic quality. I used a Kessler Crane for some of the shots and handheld for others.
