I want to thank Brian for sharing this and putting it together!

I am laughing so hard, I can't see straight. If you knew how hard the cast/crew worked and what we suffered in the middle of Summer (100+ degrees) with a searing wind, you'd understand. The non BTS/Outtakes version of this screened at Paramount Studios last night. Sure glad they didn't show this then.

And here is the final product:

What some people don't know about what happens on set............it's a good thing.

Just found there will be a second chapter to the outtakes. So not good for my pride, which has already taken a hit, LOL. Supposedly "the best is yet to come". I have a baaaaaad feeling, I ain't gonna be looking too good.

Cast/Crew Pic from all the military side:

I am furthest R. And when you have this kind of set dressing, I couldn't resist:

And another fun pic of me coaching talent on how to "low crawl". What's missing is 30 seconds earlier where I demonstrate it (I am getting to old for that crap):

BTW, I am in costume, only because I had to fill in occasionally as BG, and we were so far from base camp.

LMAO at the out takes. Great job on the final product. Always fun to see both.

+1

So... I'm assuming this was shot on RED as main cam, and 5D's as second and crash cams? SO many cam ops in the credits; (rotating operators I'm assuming) but were there multiple cams running simultaneously?

Actually, we rented a Red for 2 hours for only 1-2 specific shots (SloMo). Everything else was on 5D/7D's. We had 2-3 Canon's out there, and had a B-roll team too.

Nice. After watching again, yeah, I can see the canon rolling shutter. That being said, it looks, for the most part, under control for all the fast movement and whips that were going on. Good stuff

Loved it Doc, i'm thinking of getting rid of my nam gear, and start collecting some desert uniforms and such. We have some great sand dunes here on the cape for this type of film. I will be in touch soon.

4,000 spent out of pocket, I believe. And some of that went to replacing a 20x20 that got blown over by the wind and landed on one of the Humvees. Another part went to renting the RED for 2 hours, and then food, GE truck, and Humvee rental.
