Re: I-Remain Video

Damn, that was some insane eye candy there. This is one of the more original videos I have seen in a long time; visually. The editing is super tight, even if it doesn't pause for reflection. Well done!

The song made me want to go out and step on kittens however. Care to share the processess involved in putting this together?

Re: I-Remain Video

I like your video. In fact I liked it so much more when I muted the sound. It's a colorful and at times beautiful piece of experimental work. I used to shoot Super 8 and this video reminded me of that. I think because you treated your video as if it was organic. When I shot Super 8 sometimes I'd run the film through dirt and physically mar it.

I really like the color flashes around 3:48, very cool. I really think the video works better without sound. The song actually distracted me from the the beauty of some of your visuals. Nice work man, very unique stuff.

Re: I-Remain Video

Just watched it again without sound. I love those pigtails near the beginning. I have to say this again, you might want to consider two versions of this video, one with sound for the band, and one without as a silent experimental film.

Re: I-Remain Video

Thanks John, Isaac for the kind words.

My first music video was shot for eighty-five pounds :o
Using DVX100/Prg.Scan. No filters or wide. Manfrotto tripod.
Matrox RTX100+Premiere.

The street shots taken through Manchester city centre, I filmed handheld tilted. I took rough sections (the level ones) and speeded them up saved out and edited them together again.

Luma keying played a huge part in the rest of the video.

I also got creative with a polycarb sheet (being sick onto the camera, throwing tapes(that could have come out better) and throwing plants.)

If anyone has a section they would like me to talk about post me.

Re: I-Remain Video

Wowsers...That was different, nice work. A musical slasher adveture. The music was different and I doubt I could make it my main diet, but it wasn't that horrendous. How long did this project take to edit? I ask because I've nevr tackled anything of that magnitude with the amount of filters etc. I'm on the older matrox rt 2500 card, How is the RTX 100?

Thanks

And Cool stuff..... ;)

Thanks, the video took four weeks solid editing (I nearly went blind/deaf) :P

RTX100 is great for drama and corporate. Its 3d based tech. allows you to do some great FX. The slow/fast motion is ten times better than stand-alone software packages. Output/Codec is also easy with built in M2V (DVD) all-in-all I have no problems even though the colour correction could be better.
