I really need a sniper rifle Please :D

[PhilipD]

Not a real one offcourse ...but I need one that looks real...I've searched Ebay and saw a very expensive Airsoft one £325...also does anyone know about the legalities of having a shoot with them in the woods if it's a replica or air rifle (unloaded) if I can buy them that is...anyway selling this type or can I rent from anywhere in the UK

[Matt Gottshalk]

I would go to a film production props company in the UK and rent from them.

U could buy chinese bolt-action airsoft rifle(~150-250$ with scope), like M700/L96A1/M40A1 or similar, from almost any airsoft shop like wgcshop, or take a look at Arnies Airsoft to find UK distributor or airsoft club/team, and buy/rent that rifle.

Thanks but I've just realised that the Firearms law has changed...I'll have to try and figure it out somehow

You don't know how many times I've said those exact words, "I need a Sniper rifle"...

[pixelated]

Think closely about your shot and how much scrutiny the rifle has to stand up to.
Perhaps the most recognized sniper rifle in the world to moviegoers is the Barrett M107. Its size and front end is very distinctive - you could fabricate a very convincing prop out of darn near anything very quickly.

Good luck

The 50cal is a nice weapon. However, what is the need for the rifle. If it's an assassination, the M107 will be over-kill. Far too loud to knock anyone out without drawing a lot of attention.

Please tell me you don't speak from experience.

Tom,

I need to get money somehow. Arms trade is actually a very lucrative business. I normally am not the one pulling the trigger though.

Though, I know a fair amount about weapons.

[Tom Marshall]

Matt,

I might be interested in working with you... I have no problems pulling the trigger...
