Hey Guys,

I lost my old resume and need to create a new one. The problem I'm having is writing the duties I did at a particular job. for example I worked at a TV station and worked as a master control op then was promoted to production where I shot and edited spots, promos and long form programming. How would you word this in a resume?
Is their any samples of this on the web?

THANKS ALOT...........

how about something like this, I still filled in when needed in Master control but I was full time production:

June 1998 – January 2002, W--- • New Orleans, Louisiana
Videographer/editor & Master Control Operator

• Shoot, edit and assist with the writing of commercials and promotional spots.
• Airing programs and commercial breaks in accordance with the broadcast log.
• Other tasks include: recording satellite feeds, dubbing tapes and other responsibilities as assigned.

am I writing enough here? to cut and dry? should I give examples of some of the work I done? I also did long form work and presentations

sorry for the 20 questions, but any help would be great.

For resumes, always keep it short and consice.

A resume, just like a demo reel, has ONE job and ONLY ONE job. That is to get them to call you. Period. Stand out, be interesting, get their attention.

Don't leave them hanging, and don't ever every lie or mislead. But peak their interest, get them to call you back.

If you leave out stuff that they are interested in, then the will ask you. - Of course, they need to know there is eomthign worth asking. But listing every single detail will get tedious.
