Hello,

I currently have the new IMAC 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo/ 4GB Ram and the Canon 7D and was wondering what external HD would be best for my equipment. I was hoping I can get something that is portable so I can take it out on the field as well and plug it in to my macbook pro to dump the footage.

At first I thought Lacie's where a pretty good choice but then started finding a lot of unhappy people with these drives. So, this is why I am asking for some help here.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I had checked that thread out earlier today and noticed it started back in 2006 with not much more recent info. WIth the way technology is these days I was hoping to find out what is the best choice as of today. The most recent posts on that thread seem to revolve around P2 cards and I'm not really using those. Thanks for reply though.
