I currently reside in Missouri. I have a DVX 100 with 65hrs and it does not work now. I am contracted for a shoot at the end of July and need this camera BADLY! so if any one can help with a center that might have fast turn around I would be grateful.
Thanks
You HAVE to contact Panasonic either on the website, or call them directly. There are a lot of "service centers" that will only repair what they have sold, I just found this out recently from Great Northern Video in NH, which is near me. yeah they are authorized, but will not touch a cam they haven't sold. You need to find one that will. I assume it is NOT under warranty?
If it's a 100 and not a 100a, you might want to re-think the purchase, unless it's one hell of a deal. If you have Barry's book, you can see the improvements Panasonic made in the 100a, and why. IMO, it would be a better idea to save some more money up and get the 100a, like the commercial says:
Yeah, it's THAT important.
What would be great is if you could pick this one up for a song, then buy a new 100a, getting warranty, and rebate, and the other extras they currently have. This of course personal preference talking here, that's all.
