aaron, don't add Se7en to your DVD collection. SAVE MONEY!!! ;D
You said you've been researching it for a year and you've helped on some films. Seems like you have put some thought behind it. It's not just a spontaneous purchase. The DVX is a great camera, but please think about every purchase. Ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?" No, seriously, ask yourself, "Do I REALLY need this?"
If you have never done any video productions before then I suggest buying a nice Panasonic consumer miniDV camera and mess around with it for a while. You can do amazing things with a cheap camera, if you've got real talent. Then, when you're ready, buy a used DVX ($2000). Keep the cosumer camera to help with transferring footage and rewinding tapes
If it can't then sell your old PC and transfer the 512Mb RAM and 200Gb harddrive into a new computer. BA-DA BING, BA-DA-BOOM!
Thats sturdy advice pk...I have yet to transfer the ram to any new box cos the new one never takes the old ram, it,s obsolete by the time the deal goes down.
