I bought the Sony XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit and having a question regarding v-mount battery. I have AB mount batteries/charger. I really don't want to invest into V-mount again. Is there a way, like adapter plate that i can attach to my AB mount battery and attach it to the Sony XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit?

Thanks

I have an AB to V mount adapter. Just slides on like a V Mount battery would. And then mount the AB batteries. Also has a d-Tap

Many folks have gone with the Anton Bauer QRC-4K-S. This gives multiple PTap outputs, slips on as a V mount battery would and provides Gold Mount connectivity. Other companies are making more diverse adapters such as the Movcam V to Gold mount power bracket. http://www.16x9inc.com/shop/index.p...apters-converters/movcam-power-converter.html Which provides a variety of power outputs from 5v USB 8.4, 12v and 14.4v. Some of these brackets even have a 4 pin power in so you can go from AC to DC power seamlessly and if plugged into AC power you don't lose power to your mounted accessories if you have to swap batteries out.

I would suggest getting one with some additional power outputs sandwiched in there. Movcam, Switronix, Wooden Camera, Solid Camera, and numerous others make these. The single power output of the extension back is relatively weak and if you wish to mount some accessories it is really worth it to have several options. At the very least you'll want a P-Tap.

thanks for all the info again. I'll go with the Movcam Power Converter. I can also power up my microRemote Wireless FF from this unit.
