Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking into Red Rock Micro right now, but if there's any other suggestions. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys!

The Cine City
They have some great ones as well. I purchased their whole DSLR kit, Rails, Follow Focus, ad shoulder mount. $1089 plus tax

Wow. Thanks guys for the great selections. I was also looking for a follow focus system and that one is pretty sweet for the price. But, I wonder when the product will be ready for purchase...

I really do not like Cine City stuff very much, as they take some brand and make copies with reduced price and as much as possible (cutting material costs, etc).

As for DFocus, these guys accept preorders here http://jag35.com/new/products/dfocus/
All you can see is big marketing error. They set wrong price and do not have enoght capacity to produce units. If you have limited production ability you must set price according to it.

I would stay away from Cine City as well.

Redrock is awesome... I would highly recommend them. At a lower price point, I would also recommend express35.com. I recently bought some pieces from them and they are very solid. Also check out jag35.com.

Thanks Vitaliy. I feel bad now since my Rig is on its way. I spent $1200 on that setup :(. But I really like the rig that you posted for $299, I will get that one for sure. The Bulldog though is Mouth watering. I love the choice of putting the LCD screen on. Is these accessories to put the LCD on the $299 one Vitaliy?

I'm extremely happy with my Eyespy deluxe... since I modified it a bit! Get the flat microlink if you wanna shoot with the viewfinder (and you do!). The raised one will give you back issues. Get the tripod baseplate, and get the extra double handle - makes it much easier to handle... and makes the rig sit properly on a table top. And then... and this is the coup de grace, buy one extra handle. Put it on the left, in the same plane as the rails. Then when you use the FF you cup it in the palm of your hand and the rig is 100% stable. YMMV...

i bought a g-cinema rig from the g-cinema website (i hear he has a few on ebay now) gini rigs, it got to me in 3 days from korea to the UK, really solid rig, all cnc'd aluminium, id say the redrock stuff is made with a bit more love as the g-cinema/gini rig parts seem a bit clumsy when it comes to left and right side, they have a universal bracket that has to be flipped upside down to be run on the other side, kinda untidy with tightening screws visible on 1 side and hidden on the other side, but thats just a cosmetic thing.

the actual parts are rock solid, rails, handles, clamps and such.

showing with my SHOOT35 ff, mid priced but very quality in my opinion.

the rig i bought was 1 of the higher priced 2 handle ones but i only used about 20% of the parts i recieved for this 1 handled rig.

previously i had tried to buy a rig and ff from indisystems, i placed my order got the auto conformation email, after a day i emailed to ask when should i expect it to be dispatched as the status hadent changed and i didnt hear back, emailed them 5 different times trying to get an update, ended up having to cancel my order as i wouldent have been able to recieve it as it had been 2 weeks, my order vanished from the order history section and i didnt recieve any emails, i think i sent 6 in total and didnt recieve not 1 back.

dont order from them unless you can phone them 1st id say, or you could be left in the dark forever like i still am.
so i went for the g-cinema rig and shoot35 ff, more costly but better quality, will last longer, have a better resale value and i actually got the stuff

I know about problems with indierig guys. Same as with DFocus, in fact.
Sometimes they can't ship products because of demand.
Just call them using Skype (it is pretty cheap) and ask about your order.

As for gini rigs. They are quite good option for some guys.

yeah i was aware of the guys at indifocus being in high demand by customers wanting rigs and if its a small team they are bound to run behind from time to time.

i was just really nervy as iam from the UK so distance and fear got me as my order totalled around $600.

ive read some good reviews about the indifocus guys as well tho, but if your gonna order from them give them a call and ask any questions before you order, i really should have and id have avoided a bit of hassle.

1 reply email from them isn't much to ask tho, especially since they have an "email them" feature on there website, if they are not going to reply to customers they should take it down and concentrate on phone calls. it would probably save everyone a bit of trouble.

iam glad i went for the g-cinema rig tho, its does the trick a treat, couldent really ask it to do more with all the combinations that you can set it up for.
i placed my order and the next day i got the UPS tracking number emailed and delivery date details, within 3 days of ordering my GH1 is set up and ready to go!

but yeah ordering from indifocus works for some guys.

why not go for a ZACUTO rig... if you sell a kidney ul be half way there to raising the funds

Hey guys, does anyone have any thoughts about the steaddslr rig. It's 350.00 and is a steadicam rig also can become a shoulder mount.

I have to second a Red Rock recommendation. That's what I use and I get comments on it all the time. I've rented/borrowed it out many, many times.
