I need help capturing footage !!!!

Once again I need help capturing my 24p footage and sonic my dvd is not working.
I have a laptop with firewire input.
 
I would recommend you get Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 or Sony Vegas 6 If you want to capture and edit in a 24p timeline. If you just want to edit in a 29.97 timeline I would think any editing program would work fine, even the cheap programs from Best Buy. Adobe.com offers free 30 day tryouts and so does Sony.

Give us some more information about how much you want to spend and what you plan on doing with your camera. I think there are a lot of people here who can help you.
