Looking for a woman
okay, finally a serious thread from me. :) i need some help guys. my daughter has started to climb out of her crib so we switched her to a toddler bed. the problem is that she keeps getting out of her bed. unfortunately she can also open the door to her room and climb over the baby gate we put up. any suggestions?
 
There are child proof doorknobs you can put over the top of the existing doorknob. You have to squeeze it really hard to get enough friction to open the door. My daughter didn't have enough grip strength to overcome it until she was 5.

without making a BAD sexual joke out of that, I'm going to go twoziez on this. they worked great with my little brother.
 
The doorknob thing works really well. My brother does it for every door in his house and none of his kids could open the doors.

We never liked closing the door to our daughter's room. What we did was set up the gates that are smooth on both sides so she could not climb them. We placed them in the hall and at the top of the stairs. Basically we knew she would get out of bed and the gates were set up so the only place she could go was into our room.
