"Hollywood"... in the way you're putting it (in my opinion) didn't die... it's suffering an attempted-murder... by the yutes... for every 30-40-something dude that thinks the original Raiders was amazing... there are ten 20-year-olds that think Crystal Skull was just as good.
I'm curious if you enjoyed Casino Royale? I thought the opening sequence was well-done... frankly, I even thought "shoot 'em up" had a good sequence.
Art doesn't die when people stop noticing... It waits.
Hollywood could come back from the dead... ZombieWood?... (awesome)...

Of course, in 50 years, someone will be lamenting the loss of the Hollywood of today.
Today a guy spends $400 million on a 3D cartoon and pouts when he doesn't get the Oscar for best picture. It was a cartoon.:zombie_smiley:

I'm 21 and I declare myself as a innocent.....anyone that thinks that crystal skull was as good as the originals should be forced to watch the originals 3 times in a row... and then write a paper on the differences between them....there are ten 20-year-olds that think Crystal Skull was just as good.
I follow you, but Hollywood today is just the roadkill that you pay $15 at the ticket booth to see.:crybaby:
There are no real stars anymore. Pitt, Crowe, Jollie, Paltrow, McConaughey, Kidman.... Sandler, these aren't stars.
Cagney, Gable, Bogart, Loy, Bacall, Grant, Hepburn and on and on and on, they were stars.
I won't even start on the directors or musicians...
Hollywood died when they started spelling it $$$$$$$$$. Now it has always been a money game, but they at least gave you a real product for your ticket, with real talent and real stars on screen. Watch anything on TCM, any day and you'll see better films than anything made today. There was a real story, real characters and production value that actually showed.

No, Hollywood died and there isn't an exorcist big enough to drive the blood sucking devils out of there.:engel017:
