I LOVE this function knob.

Wow, this function knob is great. To be able to set a specific area of the screen for auto-focus, auto iris or y-get is very helpful.

For me, sometimes I frame a shot and want to check luminance in a variety of areas of the frame. Now I can keep the camera locked down and still check each area (I know that having a waveform monitor makes this unnecssary, but it's still cool).

I'm sure there are benefits to the other things it does, but I love the moveable y-get.

I just can't put this friggin thing down.....

I'm sure I could look this up in the manual, but what exactly is Y get and how do you use it? And if you say look it up I won't be hurt.

I like the Variable color temp. mode using the Function Knob--really like being able to paint the camera 100 Kelvin at a time. Our HPX2700 does this on the menu wheel, great to see it on the AF100. That's more useful than the other Function Knob features, so far.

The Y-Get feature is where the camera tells you what the luminance is in IRE readings (between 1 and 99) on a certai area of the frame. It helps you get proper exposure.
