Just a shout out to Panasonic. (I know we all love them already) I just got my rebate battery and tapes. They were the new AMQ tapes instead of the MQ tapes. I know it seems silly, but little things like this make me happy to own a product form a company that takes such good care of its customers.
 
I just got mine last week, although I thought the AMQ's were what was advertized in the rebate.

Getting them was no less giddy for knowing it, though!
 
i hate them .... like a lot of european customers.
1/ we don t have any rebate
2/ Panasonic seems to be certain that 1 euro= 1 $, we pay much more for the same product (excluding the european taxes)

a lot of people in europe were waiting for the hvx (like me) but when they see the price range here they re thinking to go JVC or Sony.

PS: i hate them but bought a dvx100b because unfortunatly it s a ****ing cam....
 
and i forgot ..... panasonic france is not importing dvm63mq or dvm63amq tapes. here, you have to buy TDK, Sony or JVC tapes. that sucks .....
wake up Panasonic, france is not the place with people wearing berets and holding baguettes. cinema was born here.

Have not received my rebate yet. How long did it take for you?

Sixteen weeks from purchase of camera to the tapes/battery arrival. I was expecting a long wait, though, and was not depending on it.

EDIT: rebate itself in eight weeks.
 
I just got my tapes and battery yesterday and I love it.

Lpcvideo1 is the cutout in the Pelican case to the right of the tapes for the Bigger battery ? If not it fits great

I've been waiting for my tapes and battery since October! Should I be expecting the tapes to be AMQ tapes; or did BennisHahn just get lucky? Which of the tapes are advertised to come with the rebate?
 
I thought the MQ tapes were advertised so I don't know why I got AMQ's. I got my DVX the last week of Oct. and just got the rebate yesterday so you should get yours soon I am guessing.

I received the AMQ's they are the ones that come with it. Alse my case is the 1550
