Got my FS700 today, and wow. I'm really impressed by the options on this thing. One of my favorites is the Focus Transition.
With the Sony 50mm 1.8 E mount especially, setting two focus points and doing a focus pull just by hitting a button, and it locks flawlessly to your pre-set focus points? Is it just me, or is that completely amazing for a large sensor camera? You can set the transition time to go as low as 3.5 sec (wish you could go faster).
Spot Focus, Face Detection. They work just about perfectly with these E Mount lenses.
Yet i haven't heard much talk or excitement about these features leading up to the camera's release. Do you think it's because many shooters are used to doing things manually and would rather be hands on? Or have these sorts of focus options been tried before on cameras without much success?
I'm new to interchangeable lens cameras, but man, it seems like quite a game changer to me.
