I know there are RUSH fans here

And seriously, isn't "Moving Pictures" the common bond here?

Oh, I'm so lame! I didn't see them until spring 1990, the Presto tour. I had been a fan since Moving Pictures, although at that time, I was only in 5th grade.

I remember Signals was not received so well by the die-hard fans. I still think it's a great album to this day.

I believe they're referring to the only band other than The Mamas and Papas that have not been inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

"Rock & Roll Hall of Fame....you gotta be kidding me!"

I was in the same airplane and sitting 2 seats away from Geddy Lee when Rush was heading to Rio for the 'Rush in Rio tour'. I was a bit star struck...it took me a while to work up the nerves to ask him for an autograph.

Movie looks Fantastic! Hadn't heard about it yet. Sweet!!

Rush has been my favorite since 1978. My older brother got a copy of Fly By Night and I was mezmerized. Seen them live 12 times, three nights in a row once for Hold Your Fire.

I highly recommend Neil's book, Ghost Rider, for an inside and personal look at his tragedy. Amazing how one can overcome the worst things in life and come back better than ever.

My favorite album to listen to while working in the yard is Hemispheres. I built our patio while playing it over and over.

Tonight I was pick-axing away a stump while listening to "The Trees".

My brother's favorite band when we were kids. He was a drummer then trying to emulate Neil Peart (impossible) but has since mastered Alex Lifeson on all of his ten guitars (he tries to at least). :)

BUMP.

Just a reminder, this will be on VH1 Classic and Paladia HD tonight (6.26.10) at 9PM eastern.

First heard them with the Fly By Night album. It took a few months to get into it. I was around 15-16ish then.
Saw them at the Jock Harty (I thought is was Hardy) Arena in Kingston Ontario around '78 in the winter.
As years go by and I talk to other people, I guess 'everyone' was there. haha.
Max webster backed them up. Max Webster also played my local highschool about a year before that. We broke the windows to sneak in but don't tell anyone, lol.

I love how you start talking about hearing Fly By Night, then finish with breaking into your high school to see Max Webster.

A.D.D ;) Or more like T.M.B . Too much beer. That's reminds me of the time we went...

P.S: If I start talking about Band Camp, just go ahead and shoot me.

I remember going to Sam's Jams (many, many years ago) to look for the LP "Universal Juveniles" by Max Webster. I couldn't believe I found it!

Rush appeared as a guest on a song called Battlescar. I might have to go home now to give it another listen.

Hmmm....hope my Victrola still works...

I'll have to look for that movie. (Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage)
So how was it? Anyone seen it yet?

I don't see Canada listed there under the Buy It Now! Heyyyyyy, what gives? :banned:

A couple favorites of mine.

A modern classic: Rush, Bubbles and Ed Robertson.
