Camera-wise, that is.

Anway, I really want some practise, but there's nothing to film here. I was hoping it would rain today, so I could get outside and get some wet-weather shots, but it doesn't look like it.

Any ideas?

A lot of women like doing that, though probably for different reasons.

What kind of shooting? Like, with a video camera?

Doh!...I guess I should check sig lines...I unwittingly encountered that rarest of species...Dvxuser Feminatus.

Haha, lol. Yeah, I am a female, so no, no naked women. And yes, shooting with a video camera.

I like seeing things very close up. Bugs , leaves, plants, ect. Nothing like seeing an ant in action hauling away a dead bro burnt by some kid with a magnifying glass, ya know?

I've seen guys here in the camera sections that can make almost anything look interseting, even with a cell phone. It's in the eye I guess. There is beauty everywhere.

Shots everywhere I mean...and beauty...if you look, really look ...cough.

Dude, your talking to a woman. doubt she would have fun wth that.

How about a naked woman being chased by a naked man? It could be a whole Garden of Eden thing. They are frolicking in the forest when they find a massive apple tree. It looks unlike any of the other trees in the forest. Sitting under it is Sir Isaac Newton. An apple falls on his head, conks him unconscious, and then Eve picks up the apple and takes a bite out of it.

Then a flash of light and some blue lightning sparks into existence out of nowhere. A bearded nude man emerges from the electric maelstrom. He extends a hand towards Adam and Eve. He says, " my name is Jesus, come with me if you want to live." Just as he grabs Eve's trembling hand, another ball of lightning forms nearby. When it subsides, another muscular man and a woman, both nude, emerge from the remaining cloud of smoke. They both have red eyes that glow intensely.

Just as the two terminators close in, another flash of light blinds them all. A small white shuttle craft emerges from a tear in the fabric of reality. It blasts the terminators with energy weapons, then lands nearby Adam, Eve, and Jesus. The side door slowly opens, revealing James T. Kirk, Spock, and Bones. They step out onto the primitive dirt of ancient Earth. Bones notices Eve's natural beauty and says, " dammit Jim I'm a doctor, not a porn star." Kirk licks his lips and replies with, " Bones...... I I I I I I I...... think we could all learn tooooo........ expand..... our horizons a bit." Spock's eyebrow raises at his Captain's remark. Kirk then steps close to Eve, invading her personal space and says they are looking for an alien named Xenu and a portly red-headed man named L. Ron Hubbard.... TO BE CONTINUED.

Of course, this is only the beginning of the super mega awesomely fantastic Terminator Trek: Battlefield Eden. I would even wager that Tom Cruise and John Travolta might be interested in helping to get this flick off the ground due to it having some ties to Scientology. Maybe McG and JJ Abrams could team up and this could be the official sequel to Terminator Salvation and the new Star Trek?

Haha, thanks guys. It ended up raining and I took a few random shots... but now, I feel like filming my psycho bird. I don't know why. But, ok.

Funny you should say that. A few weeks ago I had a red Robin flying into my bedroom window. This went on for 5 days straight. I wish I had a cam. I started feeding it cause I thought it had a bad wing or something.
It seemed to help. He's gone now.

Anyways, yeah. I also saw 2 love birds, black crows actually, meeting over about 10 minutes on a branch way up about 45 feet in a tree. One flew off in the opposite direction about 100ft and landed in a tree. Then the other took off and joined, right beside each other. They were pecking and everything.
Never seen that before. Bird courtship I guess. Crows of all else.

Lastly, one of the most memorial shorts I've ever seen was a very slow motion short of popcorn popping. I'll look around on tube for it but I saw it on T.V years ago. Its pretty old.

//later: Ah. This is NOT the video but it does show a kernal popping. The video iI'm taliking about is 10K better if it can be found. Just saying.

How about building a miniature city out of cardboard and having this psycho bird attacking some plastic army men Godzilla-style?

I have done a lot of practice shots at intersections.
I discovered that people, cars, traffic lights and crosswalk signs are actually interesting.

i struggle with the same thing as the OP...i live in san diego, but everything worth shooting has been done so many times by so many amazing photographers/filmmakers. i've been looking in my own neighborhood lately, and i'm getting ideas...i never plan much, and i tend to take my camera everywhere i go anyway ("just in case") i'm a nerd.

i love shooting things everyone seems to ignore, and people that have seen my stuff seem to enjoy it. and that's ok with me.

Nektonic: If I didn't just sell off my camera and need to save as much as I do I would definitely make that. At least up to the biblical terminators. But it's definitely on my list.

cryzns Im shooting my questfest short on June 6 and 7 in Brisbane. Your welcome to come down and
join the fun.
