So the things i need are

1. the sharpest picture i can get

2.when i down convert to SD I'll still have a sharp video as we don't broadcast in HD in my country

3.I don't need good audio

...AF100 or GH2?

Its also important to mention that i am in a PAL country.

Being in PAL country is only relevant if you're getting a GH2 (since the Af-100 is entirely switchable in all modes) and if you don't care about audio or built in ND filters, waveform, etc... then go the DSLR route. I'm assuming you want a more "cinematic" look and feel anyway since it's music videos you're filming and not TV ads so you'll want the larger sensor for the DOF. you'll also need some fast primes since the Lumix lenses work like junk in low lighting so get use to pulling focus. In regards to downconverting to SD, as long as your shooting in progressive (which you would) then downconverting and rendering out as interlaced for PAL 50i broadcasting; it will look as sharp as possible anyway. Unless you really don't know what you're doing I can't imagine anyone getting an " unusally blurry" result from HD downconversions.

Also, as far as getting the "sharpest picture you can get", the AF-100 and GH2 are very simalar so it's going to come down to your lenses and how you shoot your scene.

I would definatly go with the AF100 over the GH2 if you can afford it. Not that the GH2 is a bad camera, but the waveforms, ability to overcrank, and HD-SDI output of the AF100 makes it worth the extra money if you can afford it. The AF100 is more than just a GH2 with XLRs in a video camera body.

That said, a GH2 is always handy to have in the bag for those situations where proper cameras are not allowed, but still cams are. That is pretty much the only time I like the GH1.3 or GH2 over the AF100.
