I just fell victim to the VFR setting

I'm not sure if it was set to ON as a default setting or if I had been tinkering with it but Iv'e just shot an entire mornings shooting with zero sound despite thinking it was perfect in the head phones and the levels monitor. Ok so I should have listened to some play back earlier in the day but this job was minus a sound man and we were behind schedule on a panic to get things in the bag.
this over sight and ridiculous design fault in the camera has cost me and the crew dearly on this job. Don't be a victim to the vfr setting.. Don't go near it.. I hope Panasonic release a firmware update soon to make sure this oversight is a bit more obvious to the user because right now its nasty little bastard of a setting !! Im not feeling the love for you today Panasonic !!!

You don't need to register.... I'm not registered and downloaded it yesterday and installed it last night, when shooting in HDR now you see a red warning icon on top of the audio level bars. You'll find the link to the update in this forum, "new update" or something like that.
I hope you'll be able to fix your recordings somehow, this must really suck. For this reason I'll continue using my DR100 so I have audio on both the AF100 and on DR100, for what I should lack of audio would be a nightmare.
