I have Vegas Pro 14 and was wondering if I should jump to 15? Are there a ton of bugs/issues with 15? Vegas offers 15 edit, 15 pro and 15 pro Suite. Which is really better?

I upgraded to VP15 mainly for the GH5 10-bit compatibility, which has been a big deal for me. I also found that some HQ CODECs like Cineform, run a lot faster on VP15. As for which version? They are all good. You just have to decide if you need the additional features of the other versions.

+1 on that.

I'm on the Beta team with MAGIX and there has been a massive amount of work gone on under the hood. V14 was a MAGIX freshen up of Sony's V13. V15 is a different beast in many ways. Some strange little GUI changes that haven't been universally loved but overall big improvements in important areas. Much better and more accurate handling of ProRes encoding. Big improvements in GPU performance with the late model Nvidia cards. Earlier Nvidia users aren't left behind as there is now a check box under Preferences to "Enable legacy GPU" which does actually help greatly with the earlier cards. One box I work on has a GTX780 which is getting long in the tooth now but v15 performs much better on that especially with XAVC-L Long GOP files. As Dingo says Cineform is way better on v15 and the new Grass Valley HQX codecs absolutely sing in Vegas. I've been a strong Cineform user for many years in Vegas, since v8, but these new GV codecs are pretty amazing... all the way up to 8K. I don't think you would regret the jump to v15. If you already have DVD Architect I would just go for V15 Pro.

Oh! sorry 'bout that. Never been good on a keyboard. After all these years it's still two finger search and destroy typing:)

No license issues with the GV codecs. Just download and install and they appear under the 'Video for Windows' render settings. Choose one of the HD or 4K YUV codec choices go into 'Customize Template' and under 'Video Format' you can use the drop menu to select one of five different GV codec flavors and then under 'Configure' you have various setup features relating to quality and file sizes etc.

Just create an account here and download the codecs. Trust this link works?? i copy pasted this so it should touch wood.

Any problems post back.
