I have a Panasonic camera AG AF 100 , I have downloaded the clips without to download the private file. Can I do something to rescue this material?

As long as you have the .MTS files you'll be fine. Without those you could be lost, though you MIGHT be able to recover them from the card with specialized software (PhotoRescue, MTS Recovery, etc) , & it can take a couple days.

Apps such as ClipWrap can transcode without the PRIVATE folder structure.

Perhaps 5DtoRGB also, but I've never tried.

I believe Eduardo is saying that he didn't copy the whole PRIVATE folder, and only copied the .MTS files?

If so, you can make it work. Most Windows editors are capable of reading the .MTS files directly. Final Cut Pro can't, but there are simple conversion programs (such as ClipWrap) that can convert the .MTS files into Quicktime files that Final Cut Pro can work with.
