I hate Morgan Spurlock

i saw it in a 2$ matinee,

My friend Fat mike ( over 250lbs. ), got turned off to fast food and took up a healthier diet. He lost 45 pounds over the next few months....

but now he eats crap again and he gained weight. but it did some good for a while.

didn't mcdonald's lie about the ingredients of their french fries, twice? isn't that one of the reasons this movie was made? mcdonald's not telling the truth about the ingredients of their products to consumers?

Yeah, the guys point wan't eating mcdonalds ONLY. His point was eating bad fast food and not excercizing.

Look at all the fat ass mofos around you, how much do you think THEY walk a day.

His point was to act like any one of them to show what happens when you live that lifestyle.

Eat like ****, don't excercize, get fat as hell.

The serious SERIOUS point I took from it had nothing to do with his weight gain at all but this. The doctors said the activities had crushed his liver. It was like he was a fullblown alcoholic with how much damage it had done to his system.

If you watch something like that and still think its even OK to put TRASH like that in your system, well, you're getting what you deserve.

The slop and scum those places produce destroy health, and profit off it. So more power to him.

They might have, but I don't really think that was why Morgan Spurlock made the movie. If so, the movie would have centered around the fries a lot more...as it was it was just about eating badly 3x a day and not exercising.

True, but he also had some kind of a liver or health problem to begin with.
No one forces people to eat the slop and scum fast food places serve, and certainly they don't tell you to eat nothing but their food for all your meals everyday and sit on the couch. Their profits might like it, but they don't explicitly say that.

Morgan's dumb ass movie didn't tell people anything they didn't already know. I don't think he deserves props or kudos for proving something that had already been widely discussed before. A diet of any one type of fatty food is problematic and may cause health problems in certain people. Morgan was predisposed to the liver problem as I recall. Another person may have had no adverse reaction to his dumb ass diet idea.

If you eat carrots for 30 days you'll turn orange. Then Dick Cheney might shoot you. Why? because he'll mistake you for a carrot. And he likes carrots with his quail.

People are really really really really really really really dumb.

IF you say they aren't why do people still eat at that **** hole mcdonalds. Who in their right mind would eat mcdonalds except someone force at the end of a gun, or who just didn't know better or didn't care.

The fact is, what 60% of american's are morbidly obese? Its obvious people are eating **** and not excercizing. This movie merely said, hey guess what, its not a gland problem fatarse, you eat like crap and you only move from the couch to the fridge. You're an idiot.

Course thats just my opinion :)
But I eat good and am skinny :O

Personally I enjoyed 'Supersize Me', but not from the aspect that most people are discussing here. The McDonalds aspect is obvious, if you eat nothing but fast food then you are going to gain weight and be unhealthy. This is obvious and there was no real breaking news from that point.

What I thought was interesting was the section on the school lunches and what children are eating. It is all processed food and nothing but sugar. Furthermore, I don't know what our average age is here, but for myself in the final days of my 20's I know when I was in school there were no 7th graders with a C cup. I see these girls out that are 11 years old and they have been pumped with so many horomones that they are maturing incredibly faster than nature intended. That disturbs me, and not just from the fact that 16 can get you 20 (that was a joke).

In general, America is the fattest and laziest nation. Strike that... nothing general about that comment. We, as Americans, eat when we're not hungry and buy things we don't need. I am personally guilty of this. I never ate fast food until I say Supersize Me. For me it was like one long commercial for McDonalds and I started to crave that stuff. After gaining about 10 pounds and wondering what the hell was wrong with me I quit eating fast food.

I didn't need a documentary to tell me this though.

Like I said, I think what was interesting about it wasn't just that he was fat, it was how his whole body just began to shut down.

Liver damage, cholesterol, mood swings. I found it fascinating all the ancillary problems he ended up having from just eating food.

It's not just from eating food...it's eating highly fatty food ONLY and NOT exercising... but regardless, I hadn't meant for this to be a retread over a poo pooty "documentary" made by a jackass, but a venting over the completely insensitive ravings made by said jackass. :kali: :violent5: Apparently I was the only one offended.
