What kind of deals did you make with your cast?  Did they get more than just a credit and material for their reels because they contributed more than just performances?  I ask because I'm trying to figure out what's fair and equitable if I ask talent to help build the story, even though the issue of $ is sadly almost always moot.
they worked for free, agreed to a group credit... by that i mean the film ends with 'a film by...' and lists everyone's name alphabetically. should the film make any dough however, everyone that worked on the film will get a percentage based on the amount of time and creative input that they contributed. some people, like the sound crew, were already paid and won't be part of further payouts. all of this happens after investors get their money back, of course.

OK, here's the $54,000 (or however much you raised :) )question - how do you present a project with no script to investors?

Re: I got my first review!!!

well, there was a script. it just had scene objectives for each character instead of dialogue. living in LA, its easy for a creative (like myself) to hook-up with someone that specializes in finding money. just last night, i was at a party and this guy kept saying, "i'll go out, i'll find you money, that's what i do!!!" he was very eager to work with me on my next project based on the reviews that have been coming in for Blue in Green (he hasn't seen it). anyway, the film was made for about $50,000 and another $30,000 has been spent promoting it (screenings, DVDs, having a trailer cut, festival submissions, advertising materials, etc).
